Pesticide Testing

Our quality assurance system adheres to international standards including ISO 17025. We maintain comprehensive testing capabilities for key parameters including pesticide residues, allergens, and mycotoxins (specifically Ochratoxin A) to ensure export-grade coffee quality.

Our testing scope covers essential coffee analytes including Ochratoxin, caffeine content, and roast color values. Our instrumentation is equipped with advanced LCMSMS and GCMSMS, used for pesticide and ETO residue testing, allowing us to screen for a wide array of contaminants as required by global regulations.

Testing activities can be expanded to parameters such as Polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and various organic solvents. In our Microbiology section, all parameters including pathogens are covered. Key chemical and physical indicators such as water activity, total ash, particle size (grind consistency), and extraneous matter are also monitored.

We utilize multiple methods including ISO and BAM to ensure accuracy and compliance. Our testing capabilities continue to expand to meet the rigorous international export standards of the speciality coffee industry.

Allergen Controls

Considering Allergen Awareness amongst people around the world, Achrekar Merchants has taken many proactive steps to provide our customers with safe and allergen-free products. These include:

Quality Control

The Quality Control Team works collectively with Quality Assurance, Hygiene, and Food Safety to maintain the highest speciality coffee standards. We strictly adhere to Good Manufacturing & Hygiene Practices, including our “No Glass & Jewellery” policy in all processing units.

We follow a daily calibration system using metal detectors, magnets, and precision weighing machines to maintain absolute product purity. This rigorous oversight ensures that we deliver a zero-defect, superior coffee product to every global consumer.

Training

Our processing units are BRC Food certified, ensuring a streamlined and rigorous approach to coffee safety. A dedicated team of systems experts monitors all mandatory documentation, training, and certification requirements.

We maintain an annual training calendar covering all critical coffee processing activities. These sessions, held on the job floor or in dedicated training areas, have significantly improved our efficiency and quality outcomes. Additionally, as part of our backward integration program, we provide regular training to estate farmers to ensure the implementation of Good Agricultural Practices at the ground level.
